In Spring, Cully Jazz kicks off the festival season. At the heart of Lavaux region, Cully beats to the rhythm of the big names in jazz and new talents

On the shores of Lake Geneva, the Cully Jazz Festival is on a par with the biggest Swiss festivals. Over a period of 8 days in April, the big names in jazz and up-and-coming talents congregate in the little vine-growing village to entertain locals and day visitors and get their feet tapping.

From all four corners of the world, top musicians bring all genres of jazz to connoisseurs and the curious alike. Along with prestigious concerts in the main stage tent, young talents or local discoveries perform for free at intimate venues, especially in the local wine cellars, making the Lavaux vine-growers and their wines an integral part of this lively, eclectic festival. And to end the evening on a high note, DJs take over from the musicians to keep the festival-goers dancing until the end of the night in the temporary club, Next Step.
